Candied Pecans

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowls (2)
  • Whisk
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • dash Cinnamon
  • dash Clove
  • dash Nutmeg
  • 2 cups Pecans
  • 2 each Egg Whites

Instructions
 

  • Preheat over to 325 degrees.
  • Chop pecans to desired size.
  • Mix sugars, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg in one mixing bowl.
  • In the other mixing bowl seperate egg whites from yolks (do whatever you want with the yolks). Then whisk yolks until they are frothy (see picture above).
  • Toss chopped pecans in egg whites until completely coated, then toss in sugar and spiced until completely coated.
  • Place on baking sheet, smooth out pecans so there is an even layer.
  • Put in oven for roughly 30 minutes, STIRRING every 10 minutes (baking may vary based off oven).
